Building a resilient Thailand traffic mix

How to structure paid, native, owned and search traffic so performance does not depend on one channel, audience or campaign.

    Decision summary

    • Classify sources by scaling speed, intent, policy surface and operational effort.
    • Build consent-based owned channels alongside paid acquisition to reduce concentration risk.
    • Different sources need different landers; reusing a Facebook page on push traffic is why push looks unprofitable.
    • We accept eight sources, each with its own rules page.
    01

    Four buckets, not eight channels

Thinking channel by channel makes a media plan look complicated. Thinking in buckets makes the risk obvious.

    • Fast paid social — Facebook and TikTok. High potential volume with active policy and creative management.
    • Intent paid — Google Ads. Smaller volume, warmer buyers, strict policy surface for health products.
    • Volume display — native, push and pop. Cheap reach that needs a pre-lander to work at all.
    • Owned and earned — email, Telegram and SEO. Slower to build and less dependent on a single paid-media account.
    02

What each bucket is actually good for

A source is not good or bad; it is good at a job. Paid social discovers demand for a product nobody was searching for. Search captures demand that already exists. Native and push buy attention at scale from people mid-scroll. Owned channels monetise the audience you already paid to acquire.

That is also why the same lander cannot serve all of them. Cold push traffic needs an advertorial or a quiz before the offer page; Google traffic wants the price and the specifics immediately.

    A workable allocation

There is no universal split, but a common shape for a buyer running Thailand COD looks roughly like this once past the testing stage.

    04

    Resilience inside a single source

Diversification is not only across channels. Inside a source it means testing multiple compliant audiences, formats and creative concepts while keeping tracking and naming consistent enough to compare outcomes.

    • Avoid depending on a single audience, placement or creative concept.
    • Keep a reviewed creative set ready for normal rotation and fatigue management.
    • Use authorized accounts and follow each platform's account and advertising policies.
    • Log rejection reasons and correct the underlying claim or presentation before resubmission.
    05

    Where to start reading

Every accepted source has its own page with buyer behaviour, best practices, prohibited tactics and the verticals that fit it. Start with the bucket you already know, then add the adjacent one rather than something entirely new.
